Flashback: Little Brown House
It was a Friday afternoon in 1979, cycling and playing out with all of the others.
A nine-year-old girl, her little brother in tow, walked into the small brown duplex on 47th Street. As she stepped inside, the weight of familiar panic settled over her like a second skin. She glanced at the tiny wooden clock with the little yellow bird. Tick. Tick. Tick. When It finally sang signalling the beginning of twilight, the bird didn’t chirp—it screamed. Hurry. Hurry.
She moved swiftly to the kitchen. The dizzying swirl of orange, brown, and yellow flowers on the tattered wallpaper made her head spin. Her tiny hands both reached for the orange rotary phone, its long cord tangled and stretched limp from years of frantic pacing.
She tried three numbers. Three lifelines. Each time, the rotary wheel spun back into place, mocking her with its slow return. She prayed that one of her friends' mothers would say yes—yes, she could stay for the weekend. Yes, she could be safe.
But this Friday night, no one could take her in.
My servitude leads me to walk beside Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOAs) in FORTIFYING their hearths and hearts—breaking generational cycles and restoring peace.

My calling is to support Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOAs) in transforming both their inner lives and their homes. With faith at the center, I weave live music, creative coaching, and soul-deep mentoring to help release the weight of the past, strengthen the present, and step into a future aligned with God’s peace.
